For more than a decade, M.E. has defined and set the standards in the field of power transmission systems in Malaysia and has the distinction of being among the first local companies to be involved in this area of expertise.
Today, M.E. is a leader in the specialized field of design, supply, installation and commissioning of Overhead Power Transmission Lines for voltages from 33kV up to 500kV. MESB is also experienced in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 132/33/22/11kV Substations, Mini Hydro Power Plants , Underground Cabling and telecommunication tower.
Bringing together local expertise and technical knowhow, MESB's involvement in the overhead transmission line projects began to take shape in the early eighties through turnkey contracting and with a joint venture with Balfour Beatty Overseas Ltd., UK. In 1994/1995, MESB undertook works for reputable international companies ~ ABB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd., Sumitomo Electric Industries, Japan and KEC International Ltd., India.
With the vast experience in electrical and civil engineering works and coupled with excellent project management capability, MESB has diversified into other sectors. MESB has successfully completed two projects involving major earthworks, slope stabilization, infrastructure, soft landscape and hard landscape works at Taman Wawasan and Taman Wetland in Putrajaya.
Since 1980, MESB has successfully completed over RM800millio worth of contracts. Within this period , a total of approximately 3,500km of overhead transmission lines from 33kV up to 500kV have been commissioned.
MESB also managed to penetrate into the telecommunication sector and is actively constructing the telecommunication towers and base stations to be utilized by the telecommunication operators in the state of Melaka. |
