MESB Berhad was incorporated on 28 March 1995 as a private limited company under the name of Penastead Sdn Bhd which was then changed to MESB Sdn Bhd on 1 June 1995. MESB Sdn Bhd was subsequently converted into a public company and assumed its present name on 20 June 1995, MESB Berhad was listed in the Main Market of Bursa Securities in May 1996. It is principally involved in investment holding.
The authorized share capital of MESB Berhad is RM100,000,000.00 divided into 100,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each. The issued share capital of MESB Berhad is RM42,000,000 divided into 42,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each

    MESB Berhad 'MESB' is an investment holding company and was listed on the Main Market of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in May 1996.
    The company's operations commenced under the subsidiary of Maintenance Engineering Sdn Bhd in 1971 as a trading company involved in engineering projects and supplies. In the ensuing years, MESB slowly diverted its direction from trading to contracting and took bold steps into the field of construction of overhead power transmission, mini hyro power plant, underground cabling and telecommunication towers.
    MESB via its subsidiary Maintenance Engineering Sdn Bhd is a leader in specialized field of power transmission systems and construction of telecommunication towers . Since year 2004, MESB group has also diversified into the retail industry, particularly in the area of mass retailing of high quality apparels and fashion leather products.
